Folakemi Ikuyinminu
Folakemi Ikuyinminu (nee Adedeji) enrolled at Federal government college Malali Kaduna in September 1981 as a member of the graduating class of 1986. She was in Limpopo house
Folakemi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Home-Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, a master’s degree in Psychology from Coventry University, the National Award for Special Education Needs Coordination from the Institute of Education London.
As seasoned educator with over 25 years’ experience across primary and secondary schools, she has worked extensively with leading the provision for children with additional needs. She is a speaker, trainer and coach certified by the John Maxwell Team.
Folakemi is passionate about helping parents overcome communication barriers in raising their teens, so they are better equipped to transition into happy, confident, and successful adults. She is the lead trainer for Futures Coaching and Consult which runs coaching and mentoring groups, camps, and conferences for teenagers.
She is a member of the British Psychological Society. Folakemi enjoys cooking and entertaining, an ardent creative, she enjoys designing and making clothing for women.
She is pleased to serve as Vice President of the FGCK Alumni Association and member of the 2022 Executive team.
Folakemi is married to Clement, and together they are blessed with 2 children.
